Policulture is the Original Mountain Reggae band from Boulder, CO. Policulture emanates heavy drum and bass with a roots rhythm, melodic horn section, and conscious lyrics. The band’s contemporary reggae sound is shaped by their upbringing and surrounding environment. Inspired by the tradition of roots reggae music, along with the current movement of modern roots reggae, the band is honored to have shared the stage with international touring acts including The Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, SOJA, Rebelution, John Brown’s Body and many more.

Avant Horizon

The opening act for June is Durango-based Avant Horizon. Formed during the pandemic, the band has spent the past year digging deep and writing songs that blend, obscure and disrupt the boundaries between genres and styles of music. With a touch of Jazz, Soul, Blues, Reggae, R&B, and Rock, Avant Horizon has created their very own unique sound that is constantly evolving and reflecting the times in which we live.

Whitewater Ramble

Described as "High-Octane Rocky Mountain DanceGrass," Whitewater Ramble uses a simple recipe to craft its sound: start with bluegrass instrumentation, add drums, and finish with a boundary-less approach to grassing-up everything from disco house grooves to roots to Americana. The Colorado-bred quintet combines the elements of mandolin, fiddle, acoustic guitar, upright bass, drums and vocals to explore the musical boundaries of multiple genres and to fuel their own mixture of original music and innovative cover song interpretations. Whether playing an intimate encore, acoustic and unplugged in the crowd, or surfing on top of the upright bass, Whitewater Ramble delivers a powerful and memorable live performance.

Bob Scott Band

In July we are thrilled to welcome The Bob Scott Band back to the Summer Sounds stage. Get ready for some authentic high country jams featuring Scott Craig, Memphis Bob and other beloved Silverton locals.

Arkansauce is a genre-hopping, four-piece string band from northwest Arkansas, bending the rules and blurring the lines between bluegrass, newgrass, folk, americana, country, blues, and funk. With a loyal following growing every day in the Natural State and along their tour routes, the band is proud to be stepping into a hard-driving sound unique to the Arkansas quartet. An Arkansauce show is riddled with improvisational guitar, banjo, and mandolin leads, paired with powerful harmonies and heart-felt songwriting, all held together by deep foot-stompin' bass grooves.

Patrick Storen Trio

The opening act in September is the Patrick Storen Trio. Patrick (Patty) is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, composer, and performer of genre bending music centered around Bluegrass, Funk, Folk, Psychedelic Rock, and more. As a founding member of Liver Down the River, Patty has been touring nationally since 2014 and published 2 full length records and over 50 live recordings. He’s played at festivals such as Floyd Fest, Lohi, Durango Bluegrass Meltdown, Ullr Grass and more.
