The San Juan Regional Planning Commission is a joint board consisting of members of the Silverton Board of Trustees, the San Juan County Board of County Commissioners, and members. The Commission is responsible for guiding development both in the Town of Silverton and San Juan County. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining up-to-date Mater Plan
- Develop, review, and update Planning, Zoning, and Subdivision Regulations
- Holding Public Hearings to review and provide recommendations on development applications
Meeting Schedule
Meetings take place every 3rd Tuesday of the Month at 7 PM at the San Juan County Courthouse, 1360 Greene Street. Special meetings and work sessions are scheduled as needed.

How to Make a Public Comment
- Public Comment, in person and virtual, on a specific application is taken during Public Hearings
- Public Comment, in person and virtual, on general topics is taken at the end of each meeting
- Written public comment to be included in the meeting packet should be submitted no later than the Wednesday before a Planning Commission Meeting
